FLOW- Reimagining non-alcoholic drinking

Collaborative Final Project

Project Aim

This project was designed to investigate how chaos and order coexist within visual art and design. Inspired by patterns found in nature and human behaviour, the work examines how repetition and structure can be interrupted intentionally to create visual tension, without breaking cohesion.

The objective was to create a sculptural book form that physically embodies these dualities. Through folding techniques, precision linework, and colour variation, the piece invites viewers to engage with symmetry and interruption simultaneously. It presents order not as perfection, but as a framework where chaos can be intentionally housed.

Project approach

The team adopted a collaborative, research-led approach grounded in cultural insight and real audience feedback. This involved in-depth trend analysis, primary interviews, and creative ideation to ensure the campaign would resonate with both Ace + Freak’s ethos and the consumer lifestyle. Concept development was rooted in testing and iteration.

Project result

The FLOW concept resulted in a three-part functional drink range supporting pre-party focus, mid-party energy, and post-party recovery. The campaign was brought to life through mock-ups, social media planning, event experience proposals, and branded touchpoints such as influencer kits and goodie bags. Each design reflected the brand’s playful but mindful tone.

Project learning / reflection / skills

The process developed creative strategy, teamwork, research application, and audience-focused communication skills. It highlighted the importance of balancing data with design intuition and proved the value of collaboration throughout a live brief setting.
